what if rest wasn’t something you had to earn?

a softer approach to slowing down (without the guilt)

There’s this sneaky belief a lot of us carry (often without realising):

that rest has to be earned.

  • Only after the to-do list is cleared.

  • Only when the house is spotless.

  • Only once we’ve proved ourselves in some way.

But the truth is, rest isn’t a reward.

It’s shouldn’t be seen as something extra - it’s something essential.

It’s something your body needs (in the same way as food, water, or sunlight)

And it doesn’t always have to be a full day off.

Sometimes, rest is five quiet minutes with your phone on airplane mode.

So this week, let’s give ourselves permission to slow down, not because we “deserve it,” but because we need it.

This newsletter is here to help with that: a gentle pause in your inbox, once a week.
